The gameplay and rules are the same for both the Dragon’s ClusterBuster slot free-play version and the paid online casino version.

Cluster Pays and Cascading Reels

The Dragon’s ClusterBuster online slot uses the Cluster Pays mechanism to form winning combinations. Clusters are formed by landing 5 or more adjacent matching symbols. Multiplier amounts are awarded for clusters of varying sizes.

After a win, symbols in the cluster are removed from the reels, resulting in Cascading Reels. New symbols will cascade into the vacant slots. Those locked tiles in the middle unlock the Hatchling Bonus Features. To unlock the tiles, you need to land winning clusters adjacent to the outer 8 tiles. This is where the cascading reels/wins come into play. 

You will need enough cascading wins to land to unlock the outer 8 tiles and trigger a Hatchling feature. If you don’t unlock all the tiles with cascading wins, it will reset on the spin. 

Once a Hatchling Feature is unlocked it can activate at random times during normal play. Here are the Hatchling Bonus Features:

• Blue Hatchling – Unlock the Blue Hatchling, and it will remove all low-paying symbols and replace them with high-paying symbols for the following cascades.
• Green Hatchling – When you trigger this Hatchling, it will add random Wilds to the reels for the following cascades.
• Purple Hatchling – Unlocking the Purple Hatchling will conjure a lightning strike that will leave a random multiplier amount on several symbols. The minimum multiplier is 2x, and the maximum is 100x on your stake.

Fire Egg Free Spins

You can trigger the final hatching from the locked middle tiles. When you unlock the Fire Egg, you will be awarded 10 free spins. During the bonus round, the 9 middle tiles will be unlocked, and any of the unlocked Hatchling features can become active during your free spins.
